I am one of five children with parents who have been married for 58 years. I spent 12 years wearing plaid skirts attending Catholic schools up and down the coast of California. We are a family of Engineers, Managing Directors, and a Physician, who possess a strong sense of social responsibility to give back to our various communities. My oldest brother is a Dermatologist in the South Bay and after treating the youth in Juvenile Hall now dedicates his day off, working as a mentor with them.

I have always worked full or part time since I was 15 years old and paid cash I saved for my first car at age 16. I worked while in college attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and paid my own tuition. My first job out of college involved architectural drafting while living in San Jose where I became a volunteer Big Sister. My little Sister match went on to finish college owns her own property and works at GoPro cameras, and I'm very proud of her.

The next phase of my life took me to San Francisco for 15 years where an idea I shared with a Supervisor became a nationally recognized social welfare program, and while running with a club every Monday night- figure I clocked about 3,000 miles on the streets of San Francisco. Based on that extensive perspective I can tell you that their pothole problem is a million times worse than ours. I moved to San Mateo while pregnant with my son 15 years ago and now he is a freshman at Aragon High School. When my family broke up about eight years ago I received incredible support from our community, fought hard to stay in San Mateo and began giving back through volunteer efforts. I would like to be part of the Council and offer my business insight, environmental stewardship, and social ethics to the cause.
