Why Donna Colson for Burlingame City Council

My husband and I moved to Burlingame 18 years ago and have raised our two daughters here. I am a local business owner and have 25 years of professional experience in finance and the pension management industry. Presently, I serve as a Park and Recreation Commissioner, a Park and Recreation Foundation member and on several city advisory committees that are exploring options to improve the community center and other infrastructure including fields and open-space. I served on the San Mateo County Employees' Retirement Association Board of Trustees for nine years. My volunteer work includes President of both our middle school and high school parent groups as well as executive team for our Burlingame Community for Education Foundation. For ten years I have had the pleasure to coach youth sports in our town.
