Barry Rondinella, AAE, CAE Director of Operations Los Angeles World Airports

Professional Experience Barry Rondinella is the Director of Airport Operations for Los Angeles International Airport. Since being hired he has been responsible for a number of areas including; planning, organizing, staffing, controlling and directing all facets of the LAX Operations Division, Operations sections at Ontario and Van Nuys airports and the LAX Customer Service Program.

Rondinella's aviation experience spans more than three decades and he has twenty five years of public sector experience in the airport and transportation industry. He has held increasingly responsible management positions in transportation and airport operations with Los Angeles County, the City of Lompoc, the Santa Maria Public Airport District, San Joaquin County and Sacramento County. He holds a commercial pilot license and has logged hundreds of hours of high performance, multi-engine jet time.

Educational Background Barry's formal education includes receiving an Associate of Science in Commercial Aviation from Mount San Antonio College and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Administration from the California State University, Los Angeles.

Professional Associations In 2003 Rondinella became an Accredited Airport Executive as certified by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). He has served on the AAAE Board of Directors and is a Past President of the South West Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (SWAAAE). He is also a Certified Airport Executive as conferred by SWAAAE in 1994.
