Let's bring Transparency, Accountability and Good stewardship back to the PVPUSD School Board
Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am excited to announce my candidacy for a seat on the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Board. When my wife, Penny and I made the decision to move to Palos Verdes, we did so, in large part because we wanted the best education possible for our two daughters. Our daughters have indeed enjoyed the benefits of this fabulous area and the outstanding school district and are currently attending PV High.

Several months ago I began hearing concerns from a number of parents in the District about a seemingly growing lack of transparency, accountability and sound financial stewardship on the PVPUSD Board. The more I listened and the more I researched, the more I too began to become concerned. It is out of this concern, and a desire to give back to this incredible community in which we live, that I decided to run for a seat on the School Board.

It is vital that Palos Verdes continue to excel in all areas essential to the tremendous quality of life we enjoy- especially in the quality of education we provide our children. Employing a simple strategy- TAG- Transparency, Accountability and Good financial stewardship, I believe we can get back on track and continue our history of academic excellence.

For those of you who I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, I grew up in Southern California and graduated from Cal State University at Los Angeles. I proudly served my country as an Officer in the United States Air Force and I now have the honor of serving as the Director of Airport Operations for LAX.

Community service and church activities have been a staple throughout my adult life and I currently serve on the Rancho Palos Verdes Emergency Planning Committee and on the board of directors for an international mission organization serving people in countries like Bangladesh, India and Nepal.

I would very much like to use the knowledge, abilities, skills and habits I have developed through my education, military service and 25 years in public service at California airports to serve you as a member of the PVPUSD Board and humbly ask for your support to do so. Your time, financial support and personal endorsement are greatly appreciated. On November 3rd, please vote for Barry Rondinella for PVPUSD Board.

At your service,

Barry Rondinella, AAE (310) 750-6357 barryrondinella@yahoo.com
