Robert is from a small farming town in Southern Ohio where he learned the lessons of hard work and the values of family and community. He worked his way through college at Miami University of Ohio where he achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Education. He went on to achieve his Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychology where he completed his internship at the Valley Oasis Domestic Violence Shelter.

Pursuing his desire to serve the public, in 1988, he entered the law enforcement field where he completed an eighteen year career with the California Department of Corrections. During the span of his career he worked as an Officer, High School Teacher, Hostage Negotiator and Counselor.

Robert has been a resident of the Valley for over twenty years. Both his children are graduates of the local high schools.

Currently, Robert serves as Chairman of a Non-Profit that assist Law Enforcement Officers when they are assaulted in the line of duty.

As a former educator and Peace Officer, Robert believes it his duty and obligation to give back and share his skills and experience while providing guidance to our future leaders of tomorrow.

Robert knows the value of a quality education. Passionately active in the community, he serves as a mentor and advisor for the Highland High Schools Law & Government Academy. In addition, he serves on the AV STEM Advisory committee. Robert continues to be actively involved in the Teaching profession serving as Vice-President for the AV California Retired Teachers Association. Robert also resides as an active member of the National Dropout Prevention Center and the AV Board of Trade.
