Analyze and Understand the City's Operations Budget and Deficits, Review the Contracts and Reduce Wasteful Spending
While the city has offered presentations on the city's overall budget, I still feel that there is more that I would like to learn and understand of the operations financials.
Upon learning the full items per each section of the accounts and funds, I would like to work closely with the City Council Members, City Manager, Finance Director and Department Heads, and create ways and means how to reduce wasteful spending, and provide innovation ideas, and partnerships on how to generate additional revenue for the city, without increasing taxes or adding service charges that may affect the pocket-book of businesses and residents.
I have noticed that some areas in the community, especially the downtown area are not being provided the high maintenance services as it was in the past. I believe that contract was not negotiated properly, and must therefore be reviewed.
