Sam Kartounian is committed to maintaining the high quality of life Redondo Beach affords its residents. A successful businessman, he owns and operates Tic Time in the South Bay Galleria, a family business started by his father in 1996. Since taking over, Sam has created jobs and invested locally, expanding and opening a second store. In 2010, with him at the helm, Tic Time was named Redondo Beach's Business of the Year.

When called upon to serve the community, Sam has responded. Whether as a member of the Budget and Finance Commission, the Sister City Committee, or an official delegation that visited China, he looks for opportunities to apply his business experience and know-how to municipal issues. Sam is also active within the Chamber of Commerce, serving on its board, as well as its Government Relations Council.

A proud alumnus of Leadership Redondo Beach, Sam is passionate about helping our next generation of leaders. In 2014, as a member of the Economic Development Committee, Sam participated in and sponsored Redondo Union High School's "Leader for a Day" Program, which provides students with scholarships and teaches them to become young entrepreneurs.

Sam has a Bachelor of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He and his wife Karin recently purchased their first home and look forward to raising their family in Redondo Beach.
