Dear Voter,

With the current dysfunction of harbor management detailed in the 2014 Grand Jury Report, recreational boaters, commercial fishermen, and harbor business operators have asked me to run.

Before launching my sport fishing and charter boat business, I earned an MBA in management and worked in various healthcare leadership roles. My business experience includes budget oversight, contract negotiations, and HR management. As a Captain licensed by the US Coast Guard, I'm able to serve recreational fishermen and water lovers every day.

The Daily Journal endorsement said, "The Harbor District is experiencing a sea change, and it makes sense to elect someone with industry experience. Tom Mattusch is the best bet for the two-year seat on the Harbor Commission."

After 15 years as Captain of the Huli Cat, I understand the needs of small marine-related businesses and I'm ready to lead our seafaring community. With your support, I will bring fiscal responsibility and work toward well-managed harbors that attract visitors and feed the local economy.

Please call (650) 897-4879 with any questions and visit my website: http://www.CaptainTom.org.

-Tom Mattusch
