Board Member; Brea Olinda Unified School District

I'vve lived in Brea for 18 years with my wife Liz and our sons Devin (14), and Adrian (11). We support a diverse and challenging educational experience with a premium on personal responsibility and achievement. I have previously served as Board President, Board Clerk and currently serve as Board Vice President. I'm a graduate of USC's School of Public Administration as well as a graduate of the CORO Fellow's Public Affairs Leadership program. Prior to USC I graduated from Mt. San Antonio Community College. I served as Chairman of the City of Brea's Parks, Recreation and Human Services Commission and as past president of the Orange County Youth Foundation.

My record of accomplishment for ALL Brea Students during the last four years includes:

  • Maintained one of the highest graduation rates in Orange County.
  • Maintained and improved District test scores at all sites.
  • Restored academic calendar year and eliminated furlough days.
  • Redirected district resources to restore Fanning Elementary following 2014 earthquake.
  • Redirected district resources to restore BOHS PAC and Cafeteria following 2014 earthquake.
  • Modernized 20 year old transportation fleet with new CNG equipment using grants.
  • Installed internet access and purchased Chrome Books technology for all sites.
  • Maintained positive Budget certification during lean economic cycle.
