Traffic has been an issue in Santa Clarita since people discovered that this is a much better place to live than the San Fernando Valley. Let's correct the problem!The better our city looks, the better our schools are and the better the quality of life becomes here, the worse the traffic will be. We need more main arterials to get from one side of the city to the other. We need to complete the cleanup of the Whittaker/Bermite property in order to create additional roads to cross our city and alleviate traffic tie ups at various intersections. We need to ensure that our traffic patterns are continuously updated to allow traffic light syncronization to be current with traffic flow. Our traffic patterns need to be studied during peak hours not averaged over an entire day. |
