I bring to the Hartnell Board of Trustees a diversity of viewpoints, experience and relationship building. I was born and raised in south Monterey County. I attended local schools and colleges including Hartnell and CSUMB. My roots, knowledge and family run deep in District 7. Graduate of King City H.S., Hartnell transfer student (Agri-Business), CSUMB (Social and Behavioral Science); Rotary International-Paul Harris Fellow; UCLA certificate for collective bargaining; Operations Manager, Fresh Network; Special Achievement Award - State of California: "Development of the Monterey County Certified Organic Program"; President/Chair of the County of Monterey Greenfield Park and Recreation Special District; Business owner of food service and property management companies; Chairman-Product Sales: for the San Clemente Ocean Festival; Honorable discharge, U.S. Air force. My experience at Hartnell conveys a need for vocational training, certificate programs that are lacking. We need to retain and create jobs locally when college funds are granted for contracts. If elected, I will continue to serve as a leader and role model for our community and student body to help ensure that Hartnell remains a prestigious and very special college.
