The Board of Hartnell College needs new leadership. In the past 5 years our college has been on probation and at risk of losing its accreditation twice. I am the community-focused candidate for the Board of Trustees who will get Hartnell off probation and focused on preparing our students to enter the workforce, transfer to four year universities, and prepare for the jobs of tomorrow. I was born and raised in Monterey County and educated in local schools, including Hartnell and CSUMB. I'm the President of the Greenfield Park and Recreation District, small business owner, veteran, and father of boys who graduated from local schools. I'm the candidate who realizes that the future of the Salinas Valley looks to our agricultural past with an eye on the opportunities presented by green technology, agriculture and healthcare. This race is about deciding today where we want our children to be tomorrow. I want our kids to live in a valley with boundless job opportunities, access to quality education, and the vibrant economic engine that I know Hartnell can be. My life experience makes me uniquely qualified to represent you on the Board of Hartnell College, and I ask for your vote.
