Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Las Virgenes Unified School District

As the President of the School Board, it has been my distinct privilege to serve our community these past four years. I am humbled by your support and am excited to be seeking a second term on the Board of Education.

My husband Bruce and I moved our family to Agoura Hills in 1996 so our children, Zach and Allison, could attend the highly respected schools in LVUSD. This was a community and district that shared our values for a rigorous and well-rounded education. We chose to plant roots here so our children could grow and prosper as students and as individuals.

Immediately upon settling in to our new neighborhood, I became actively involved in the community. I supported my children's participation in local sport teams, and both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Throughout the next decade, I expanded my community involvement and leadership roles at the Elementary, Middle, High School and district levels.

My extensive LVUSD experience, as well as my professional entertainment business management background, have helped prepare me to serve as a highly effective member of the School Board. My breadth of experiences, and increasing depth of knowledge, have provided me with the skills necessary to navigate a complex system. I understand the culture and values of our schools and communities, so I can ask fundamental and strategic questions, as well as make thoughtful, informed decisions to help promote and support our district.

Practical knowlege and continuity of leadership are vital to maintaining the high standards we expect in LVUSD. Our superior reputation will continue to draw young families to our communities and enhance home values. With your vote and support, I will continue to ensure that the Las Virgenes Unified School District offers outstanding, innovative public education.
