As Senator I am committed to protecting the quality of California's environment now and for our future generations. It is important for people to understand that California can not drill its way towards energy independence. With our high standard of environmental regulations, we have the best environmental laws that supersede the rest of the United States. Therefore, any job created in California will be a green job. I will make investments in energy efficiency, as well as investments in public transportation. I will stand up for environmental legislation that not only promotes jobs but also promotes a healthy environment, and energy independence.
