Welcome, and thank you for your interest in my candidacy for Millbrae City Council.

My name is Marc Farber and I was born and raised in San Mateo County. I have lived in Millbrae for 15 years and I worked for the Millbrae Police Department for almost 17 years. I worked as a patrol officer, K-9 handler, Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Traffic Sergeant, Administrative Sergeant and retired as a Commander.

I have a Bachelor's degree from Notre Dame de Namur University and I have been the president of a California Corporation for the past 16 years. I have managed million dollar projects, balanced multi-million dollar budgets and trained and supervised employees.

With my 17 years of service to the Millbrae community, my knowledge and experience working for the city and my business background and experience, I am confident that I will make smart and timely decisions that will move Millbrae forward.

I am not going to list endless pages of what I've been recognized for and how great I am. Being a City Council member isn't about me and what I've done in life. It's about knowing the issues facing Millbrae, being ready and willing to roll up your sleeves and work with the community and city staff on long-term solutions to the issues. This takes creative thinking, good ideas, solid communication and strong leadership skills which are characteristics I possess and that I've built my success thus far in my life.

If you are ready to be part of the team that makes smart decisions to resolve the many issues facing Millbrae, and move Millbrae forward, please elect Marc Farber for Millbrae City Council on November 8, 2011.

Thank you for your consideration
