Board Member; Monterey Peninsula Water Management District; Division 5

Robert S. Brower, Sr. Proprietor, Chateau Julien Wine Estate Candidate for re-election as Director + District 5 Water Board

Bob and his wife Patty moved to California in 1982 after the sale of his successful petroleum company in the East. Always affectionato's of wine, they chose to move to the Carmel/Monterey area for its natural beauty and climate. While still too young to "just retire" they decided to pursue their passion and build a wine estate.

Almost from the time he arrived, Bob was asked to join the Board of Directors for the Hospice of the Monterey Peninsula. A short time later, Bob became Chair of the Hospice and presided over the relocation and building of the new facility in the Delmonte forest.

After the new Hospice opened, Bob was appointed by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors to the Monterey County Workforce Investment Board. In addition, Bob served on the Monterey County Vintners and Growers Board as chair. Bob was also elected Chair of the Workforce Investment Board and served in that capacity (7 years) until running for election and gaining a seat on the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District. Currently, Bob is Chair of the Board.

In addition to his current duties for the Water Board he is the Chair of the Water Supply Committee and an active member of the Legislative committee. His other community service includes; Trustee of the Monterey County Business PAC; Trustee of the Monterey Wine Education Foundation and Board member of MCHA, serving on the Executive committee and Government Affairs committee for many years.

He also volunteers for Carmel High during football season .

Bob graduated Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BS in Management.
