I am currently an elected member of the Pomona Board of Education where I have proudly served our community for 9 years. I am seeking your support to serve another four-year term.

I am PUSD delegate to the California School Board Associaton, and serve on the San Antonio ROP Board of Directors.

I AM THE ONLY PUSD CANDIDATE WITH EXPERIENCE AS A POMONA PARENT, CLASSROOM TEACHER AND SCHOOL PRINCIPAL.

I am a fourth-generation Pomona Valley resident and I have lived in the Pomona Unified School District for over 27 years. My wife is a classified PUSD employee, and has been with the district for 16 years. We are both totally committed to our community, our schools, and our students.

I have four grown children, three of which attended Pomona Unified Schools, and we are blessed with seven amazing grandchildren.

I received my BA in Sociology, and my MA in School Administration from the University of La Verne.

I enjoyed a successful twenty-four year career with the Pomona Unified School District, where I served as a Classroom Teacher; Resource Teacher; and Program Coordinator - State and Federal Programs.

I was Principal at Diamond Point Elementary (1984-1990), and Mendoza Elementary(1990-1997). After retiring I served as a consultant in various assignments.

I am a proud Veteran of the United States Army and California National Guard, and have been active in numerous community/civic organizations, such as, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles (Pomona Post 2215), and American Legion (Pomona Post 30); I am past President and currently active with the Pomona Host Lions Club.
