Candidate for Governing Board Member; Monrovia Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
In these times of financial volatility and increasing State mandates; strong, knowledgeable leadership is critical to provide "World Class Schools for World Class Students". I am running for reelection because I consider it a privilege to be a part of the leadership that keeps Monrovia Unified School District on the complex and powerful path of improvement to provide the World Class Schools our children deserve.
I have been involved with Monrovia Schools for over 15 years, serving on PTA and school site committees, booster clubs, District Committees, and now as President of the School Board. In 2003, I spearheaded the volunteer project to replace the decrepit snack bar and construct real restrooms at Monrovia High football stadium. That was before the recent construction money was available. I am committed to insuring a bright future for Monrovia's youth and am ready to continue my work on the School Board.
