Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Daniel J. Konieczka, Jr.

Candidate for
Judge; Court of Common Pleas; District 5; Republican, Democratic Party

This information is provided by the candidate

I am dedicated to public service as demonstrated by my 23 years as a prosecutor in the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office. As a member of the law enforcement community I vigorously defended the citizens of Allegheny County and as a Deputy District Attorney I actively prosecuted drug dealers, home invaders, armed robbers, and other violent criminals. My career involved well over 1,000 prosecutions either personally or in a supervisory capacity, with my experience ranging from advising police in investigatory and charging matters, obtaining warrants, and running the full gambit of trial matters. With over two decades of experience I have the respect of police officers, fellow prosecutors, the defense bar, and judges. I professionally engaged civilian witnesses, compassionately reassured victims and treated defendants firmly but fairly.

As a judge on the Court of Common Pleas I will continue to serve and protect the law-abiding citizens of Allegheny County as well as discharge my judicial duties diligently and honorably.
