Candidate for
Council Member; City of Simi Valley

This information is provided by the candidate

I am respectfully requesting your vote and support; I am running for the position of City Councilmember in Simi Valley, Ca. in the November general election. I am a registered Republican, I consider myself a strong Constitutional Conservative dedicated to the principles laid down by our founding fathers over 200 years ago. The mainstays being, small government and free markets. I've lived in Simi Valley All of my life; I graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1981. I am a United States Army Veteran having honorably served Regular Army from September 1981 until September 1985. 1985 until 1997 I again served honorably in the California Army National Guard. After active duty I worked for about four years (1985-1990) in the financial industry as a Real Estate Appraiser. I worked for three different organizations Gibraltar Savings and Loan, Home Savings and Loan and the Veterans Administration. In 1990 I was accepted into the Los Angeles Police Department. I still serve proudly today. I have worked all over the city of Angles settling in the North West San Fernando Valley at Devonshire Division for the majority of my career I've worked numerous assignments from Patrol to undercover Vice Investigator. I've been a Life Member of the NRA since I was 18. I am married to Sarit and I have three children Michele 15, Alexandra 12 and Nicolas 9. All attend Simi Valley public schools. I stand for smaller more efficient government. This is a short list of some of the things I want to accomplish. I plan to reverse the adversarial climate that exists between our Police Department and City Management. I will help our Police Department return Simi Valley to the "Safest Large City" in the country. I will work to limit the growth of our City government by eliminating redundant bureaucracy and wasteful spending. I will lead the effort to attract new businesses that can provide the much needed jobs to reduce our high unemployment. I will work to reduce the obstacles confronting new businesses, making it more inviting and easier to come and set up shop here in Simi Valley. As illustrated by my past actions in my life I will always work in an ethical and open manner.

This upcoming election is about whether the City Council will be better or more effective or stay the same. This election is all about moving Simi Valley in a positive direction. Government is not the solution to our problems.......Government is the problem........ Leadership is the solution. Leaders must be dedicated and committed in improving the opportunities for our people and businesses to prosper. My hope is to become one of those leaders.

Thank You for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Mike Judge.
