Accountability

The superintendent must direct the staff and administrators to focus on the issue of program improvement; and be held accountable.

The school board should hold the superintendent accountable for the overall improvement and successful upgrade of our district.

I have always been a supporter of raising the standards. In 1991, my daughter entered the ninth grade at Chino High School. It was the first time my children attended a public school. They were in private Christian schools!

I was absolutely shocked at the lack of academics! I started then pushing to raise the standards for accountability of student academics. The district (now)has a 2.0 GPA requirement for graduation. I started on that campaign in 1991 and the board (and I was a board member) approved the 2.0 GPA for graduation in 2006. It took 15 years!!
