Board Leadership

Our children and parents deserve a school board that provides leadership!

I have the experience, knowledge and proven record of success in working through issues encountered in school districts.

During my term on a prior board (2001-2006), our board:

  • Opened four new schools with renovations to older schools.

  • Implemented a 2.0 GPA graduation requirement and raised API scores.

  • Created the Longevity Clause to recruit the best and brightest teachers and improved 800+ teachers' salaries.

  • Gained $1.6 million in new revenue and averted a $35 million deficit in Special Education.

It is imperative a board demonstrates leadership. As an example of proactive leadership, my tenure re-established financial stability in 4 months opposed to a county financial advisor's 2 year projected deficit.

I am committed to fiscal responsibility and educational focus for CVUSD.

I propose additional Advance Placement courses to make our college bound students more competitive. I also propose technical careers for students not college bound.

I believe my experience and knowledge will better serve and lead CVUSD!
