Candidate for
Board Member; Fountain Valley School District

I am Nicola Weiss and as the proud mother of five children attending elementary school in our district, I have a personal insight into and investment in the success of our schools. I asked for and received appointment to the FVSD Board of Trustees to fill the vacant seat in 2009 because I am passionate about giving a voice to the students in our district. I am committed to our teachers, the success of our district and the values of our community. And I hope I can earn your vote on November 2, 2010.

My life centers around children. I volunteer at the school, I am active in the Parent Teachers Association, the Fountain Valley Educational Foundation, the Superintendent Parent Council, The Legislative Action Committee for Education, I am coaching soccer with AYSO and assist as Black Belt at a local Tae Kwon Do Studio as well as volunteer for our Cub Scout Troop. Children have always been my passion and that is why I finished College with a degree in Child Development.
