Diane Singer is an educator and community leader working hard to protect the interests of children and families and to keep our schools safe.

Diane is a tough fiscal manager who takes taxpayer interests seriously. She believes that if families can live within their means, so can government, and schools. Diane wants to cut wasteful spending and close the cookie jar Sacramento uses to drain resources from our schools. More than anything, Diane believes that fully-funded public education is a priority and she will fight to make sure Sacramento gets the message.

Smart and sensible, Diane believes that strong families create strong communities and she wants a learning environment that serves all children's needs, whether they be special education, GATE, vocational, alternative or college-bound students. She is committed to promoting a learning agenda that meets every child's need.

Diane has always been a vocal proponent of public education. She believes that teaching and learning are more important than test scores. She wants to return arts and music education, learner-centered classrooms and critical thinking strategies to the basic skills curriculum of math, reading, and language in our schools. Diane is a strong supporter of vocational education, class size reduction, year-round learning, libraries and safe schools.

Diane is active in many community organizations and a generous patron of charities and the arts, especially those that support children and families. She is a success coach for Working Wardrobes, an Anaheim city commissioner, president and founder of an Anaheim taxpayer and property rights protection group, was president of Kindercaminata, Inc., a past chair of the Orange Unified School District's Legislative Coalition and a past vice president for legislation of the Orange Community Council of PTAs.

Today, Diane is a vocational educator teaching business and workplace readiness skills to high school opportunity students in an Orange County public school. She has worked as a teacher, college professor and business-owner and has more than 25 years in business, leadership, and management. She holds a Masters degree in Educational Technology and a Masters degree in Business. She graduated from Whittier College, University of La Verne and Pepperdine University.

Diane and her husband, David, a local chief of police, have been married for twenty-three years. They live in Anaheim Hills and have two now young adult children who attended Canyon Rim, Crescent, El Rancho and Canyon High.
