A little background:

  • I moved here with my young family (my children have grown up here) in 1983 because of a job promotion in my previous career with Longs Drug Stores ( astounded that there was virtually no competition with regards to various retail stores....the only chain stores here were Sears, Penny's, Longs, PayLess, and Montgomery Wards).

  • Opened my own Business in 1986 - an Allstate Insurance Agency.

  • Sold my Allstate Agency in 2001.

  • Went to work for the Shaw Group-Insurance & Financial Services in 2002 to the present.

During these years, I have helped Coach baseball & soccer in Cutten when my children were younger, served on the Board of Directors for a Local Church, Scout leader there as well, served on the Site Council at Winship Junior High, served on the Board for the Henderson Center Merchants Association, and am currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Eureka Chamber of Commerce.

For recreation & fun I kayak, hike, & volunteer to various organizations/activities. I also keep in shape and keep my stress level down by going to Cal Courts to participate in group workouts at least three times a week.
