I am committed to:

  • Maximizing the potential of eanc individual child

All children come with unique skills and interests and should graduate with confidence and promise.

  • Maintaining quality education in a time of fiscal crisis

Claremont School enrollment is increasing due to the widely acknowledged quality of our schools. The financial crisis is an opportunity for our community to make a clear commitment to what is essential for student success.

  • Continuing collaborative governance and community engagement

I believe that effective governance comes from respectful dialogue among all parties involved. I will continue to listen so that diverse perspectives may be heard.

  • Using experience to address complex issues

I have lead the search for a new superintendent, monitored the district's financial status, reviewed presonnel issues, supported expanding Career and Technical Education opportunities, encouraged instrumental music program availability at all schools, and collaborated with community porgrams that promote improved student learning.

I am committed to working to provide educational opportunities that lead to academic and career opportunities for all students when they graduate from Claremont Unified School District.
