I can honestly say I am a "true" product of the City of Commerce. I have been a resident for all 37 years of my life. As a youth, I fully took advantage of the city-funded youth sports programs and library services. I was fortunate enough to work for the City for 13 years as a recreactional leader, eventually becoming a supervising recreation leader. I took advantage of the city's employee "Tuition Reimbursement" for college tuition and was able to obtain my college degrees while an employee. My life has been shaped in a positive way and has had an impact on my career choice, thanks to the City of Commerce. Now as a Councilmember, I am able to "give back" to my community by serving the residents and industrial residents of Commerce. I am doing so with honesty, intergrity, and dedication. My lovely wife Linda and I, who is also an elementary school teacher, have been blessed with four beautiful children: Alexiss 11, Vanessa 8, Robert Jr. 6, and Andres 2.
