As a public servant, I want was best for Commerce. Whether it's fixing our streets, providing substantial public safety services, or simply providing a health fair, residents should be able to see evidence of progress in our city. I am always looking for ways to better our programs and services based on our community needs, as they change constantly. Unfortunately, we also have issues within our city borders that we need to continue to address in order to provide a healthy and safe environment for our future residents of tomorrow. I believe we need to continue to fight for a healthier environment along side with "East Yards Communities for Environmental Justice" in order to simply breath clean air and avoid illness related to air pollution. I also believe that as residents, we all need to feel SAFE in our neighborhood when our children are playing outside, or using the playgroung equipment at our local parks. That is why Public Safety will continue to be a top priority. We also need to continue to look ways to assist our businesses during this severe economic crisis. I believe in government that works for the people, not the other way around.
