Leary has evaluated energy plans by Elk Grove City Council hopeful Khanh "KT" Tran, and while he is not endorsing the candidate, Leary said he is seriously considering adopting Tran's energy plan that would put a priority on fuel-cell technology.

"He's got some good ideas as far as green energy," Leary said.

Leary said he 100 percent supports a plan that would look at new ways to bring energy into the city, including manufacturing plants that would built fuel-cell cars. "I support the whole concept; people are looking for that," Leary said.
