CAMPAIGN STATEMENT

By KT Tran

Candidate for Council Member; City of Elk Grove; Council District 5

This information is provided by the candidate
I promise Greentech economy and jobs
As your council representative, I will strive to improve the local economy by partnering with businesses to create jobs, revitalizing and stabilizing the local housing market, and promoting green alternatives to fossil fuels--including standardizing all city vehicles on hydrogen fuel cell. I will help Elk Grove community deal with rising fuel costs by investing in government-subsidized hydrogen refueling stations as well as fuel cell vehicle conversion facility. Furthermore, I will actively pursue hydrogen fuel cell manufacturers, and related industries, to focus on relocating their businesses to Elk Grove. In 2006, I campaigned for SMUD Director and opposed SMUD annexation of Yolo County. Annexation failed preventing a financial crisis at SMUD as evident in the real estate market downturn. You, the voter, made a well-informed decision that positively affected us all. You have the power to ensure that your elected officials continue to have our collective best interests at heart. I respectfully request your vote that I may serve you and our community with the highest degree of integrity, honesty, and confidence bestowed upon me as your representative on the council. Earned BS/MA degrees in management, college instructor, IT professional, and Realtor/Broker. Membership/former: CSEA, ACSA, National Association of Realtors.
