La Quinta needs a Public Saftey Commission
For the past few months I have researched, with the help of the current Palm Desert and Indio Commissions, the specifics of establishing a Public Saftey Commission within the City of La Quinta. The Commission would be made up of two retired or sitting Police professionals, one Fire representative, a local businessman and one citizen of La Quinta. The Commissions sole duty would be to access current needs of the community and make recomendations to City Council. Council may or may not act on such recommendations. We are a City of over 40K residents and the time has come to move on this recommendation.
