Strengthening our local economy, creating more, good paying jobs

By Tom Myers

Candidate for US Representative; District 3; Democratic Party

This information is provided by the candidate
Creating an economy that works for every American.
Tom will fight to fix unfair trade deals and level the playing field so that America can continue to compete in the global economy. He will pursue a balanced budget policy to counter the Bush Administration's irresponsible fiscal agenda that has resulted in record budget and trade deficits bankrupting our children's future. And Tom supports common sense tax cuts for working families and for small businesses to spur job growth.

Tom will fight for an environmentally sound energy policy that reduces our dependence on foreign oil and profiteering oil companies, while making Pennsylvania a leader in alternative energy sources such as clean burning coal, wind, solar, and ethanol. He'll work to create market demand for alternative energy by increasing tax credits for businesses that develop alternative fuel sources, and in turn, create new, good paying jobs here in our district.
