About Alan Elmont

By Alan Elmont

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Culver City Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
A 15 year history of involvement with Culver City Unified School district as a committed parent.
Culver City residents for 27 years our eldest daughter attended CCUSD from Kindergarten through High School. Her participation in the CCHS Art Academy allowed her to attend a top art college. Our ten year old twins are now in fifth grade and are getting a great education at CCUSD! As a school booster club founder fifteen years ago and recent president, a multi-term Site Council member and a PTA honorary service award recipient I understand the balance between quality programs for all students, fiscal responsibility and timely honest information to everyone.

These past six years I've faithfully attended our School Board meetings. Selected as an original member I participate on the District Community Budget Advisory Committee, CBAC. Through CBAC I've learned how our state funds public schools and how our district budget works.
