Addressing Issues

By Alan Elmont

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Culver City Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Community Outreach and Public Preparation will keep our Schools Strong!
We have great schools! Yet many in our community have concerns. For years our District has not engaged the community until after issues must be addressed. As a School Board member I will seek extensive outreach into the Community, with our Teachers and all stake holders.

We have challenging problems! State demographics have projected a decline of enrollment that could be as great as 2000 students over the next 8 years. Our challenge will be to determine how to cut costs fast enough while growing the quality of education our children already receive. This must begin NOW!
