Candidate Statement

By Daniel Cota

Candidate for Council Member; City of Cudahy

This information is provided by the candidate
The following are my goals if elected to Cudahy City Council.
Daniel Cota Age: 29 Occupation: Teacher

My name is Daniel Cota and I am running for Cudahy City Council. I am running because I love this City and I have a vision for a more productive and safer city. I will put forth hard work and dedication to accomplish this vision.

I've lived in Cudahy for 26 years. I am a college graduate with a Bachelor degree and credentials in elementary school teaching and adult education. I'm a teacher at Miles Avenue Elementary in Huntington Park. Aside from working with young learners, I've worked toward helping adult students as a president of CCAE ( a volunteer organization serving the needs of adult education).

My goals are to improve our public recreational/educational facilities, city parks, after school programs, and our city library by providing useful and important resources and trained staff members to better serve our community. In addition, I feel that we need more law enforcement officers on our streets to protect our city. This will lower our crime rate and vandalism that continues to tarnish our city.

With your support, a more productive and safer Cudahy can come to exist. Vote for Daniel Cota and Luis Garcia on March 6, 2007.

Sincerely,

Daniel Cota
