Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Turlock

This information is provided by the candidate
Turlock is a great place to live. It provides a relatively safe environment to raise a family and it is a city that still goes to sleep at night. We have parks and some recreation and it is just overall a city that makes you proud to call it home. However, Turlock for the last several years has been building nothing but homes, with the exception of Monte Vista Crossings and an industrial park. We have the residents and now we need businesses that will provide not just jobs but careers. We need this to balance the equation. Right now it is too heavy on the residential side and we are beginning to become a bedroom community. This is not good for Turlock's future. Economic development is the key in order to insure future generations will receive a Turlock that both we and they can be proud of. There are step that can be taken to encourage economic development.

1.Improve public safety.

2.Improve our infrastructure.

3.Show businesses that Turlock is in a prime location to be located.

4.Take advantage of the fact that Turlock is home to CSU Stanislaus and the Stanislaus County Fair Grounds.

5.Be fisically responsible so the money will there to improve public safety and our infrastructure.
