Educational programs for personal and regional goals
The most compelling purpose of the Los Rios Colleges is to develop, offer and sustain programs of instruction and professional training to meet the needs of students as they seek to improve their individual lives and the society in which they live. In accomplishing this goal the Los Rios faculty have become the "experts" at organizing and presenting the first two years of formal higher education. They need broad and deep community support in this endeavor.

The Los Rios Community Colleges must continue to be as inclusive as possible in developing and offering professional training and academic curricula for all sectors of our regional economy; and especially for those men and women who, at the shop-floor level, provide the practical skills that make our govenmental, service and commercial sectors strong and successful.
