Recruiting and retaining a Los Rios faculty that is highly trained, skilled in teaching and broadly representative of the Capital Region's evolving demographic and cultural characteristics is absolutely crucial for the successful achievement of the district's core purpose to educate students.

The Los Rios district's established shared governance process, which engages all constituencies including faculty and staff, has provided students with very positive policy results. As a Trustee I will support the shared governance process and seek to deepen its meaning and practical application.
