Candidate for

This information is provided by the candidate

I came to Sonoma County in 1978, drawn by the beauty of the land and climate, and the then rural society. While pusuing a career as a critical care nurse and single parent consumed most of my time and attention, practising nursing soon brought the political aspects of healthcare to my attention. I was "off and running," never looking back as I was mentored by several wonderful nurses in how to relate to my elected representatives about issues and legislation. I began to work on the campaigns of many candidates whom I identified as supporting universal healthcare, accountability of providers, access to care, and many related concerns. Nor did I limit myself to a "single issue" but early on saw the inter-relatedness of environmental wellness with human health, of social justice, of education, as equally urgent to attaining mental and physical wellness. There is an ever changing and growing number of challenges to be met, and I look forward to working with fellow democrats in doing so.
