This information is provided by the candidate

I am a life-long resident of North Park in San Diego. My father was a 23 year navy veteran. My mother was a cosmotologist. I grew up in a hard working, middle class household.
I have taught school for over 20 years now. I work at a junior high school teaching special education and math. My career has always been marked by a desire for change. I see something that needs to be improved and I work to improve it. That involves working with and sometimes working against colleagues.
I have always been a member of churches that have stressed community involvement. True faith affects the community in positive ways. I have always been active in youth groups and sunday school. America's problems affect children the most and I have always sensed the need to be a positive influence in the life of a child.
