City Council Means Public Servant

As a member of the city council, you should act as a public servant to the residents and businesses of our community.
When a person is elected to public office, they are at the will of the people. Unfortunately, in the past decade, most of the city council members have treated this city like a dictatorship. It is not the job of a city council member to control the city, but rather interpret the views and feelings of the residents and simply propose those ideas.
Special interests are so engrained in our council, that the true wishes of the residents are never addressed. As a member of the city council, you are a public servant to your community and it is your responsibility to cater to all of the residents concerns.
