JAIME CORVERA Candidate for School Board for Paso Robles Unified District

BIOGRAPHY

Jaime Corvera is the candidate for School Board for the Paso Robles Unified District. He has been a public servant with the State of California for more than twenty years. Between 1984 and 1993, Jaime worked for CALTRANS in Sacramento. He worked closely with the Governor's Office and the Legislative Office developing CALTRANS' five (5) billion plus annual budget. In September of 1993, he went to work for the Department of Corrections where he is currently a manager responsible for a regional accounting office in Paso Robles that performs all the accounting functions for five (5) local State prisons.

Jaime comes from a family of eight kids and was raised in Tulare County where he worked most of his weekends and summers in the agriculture fields to help his family make ends meet. Jaime achieved the American dream of going to college to obtain a better life. He and two other brothers went on to graduate from college. Jaime graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Sacramento State University and his two other brothers graduated from Medical School.

Jaime has been married to Maria for over nineteen years and they have a wonderful fifteen (15) year old son named Diego Armando. Maria and Jaime run a successful Real Estate business and help people realize the dream of owning a home. Also, they're very active with the local community that includes their church, schools and several organizations. Jaime was instrumental in increasing the church congregation from thirty, in 1996, to over one thousand today. He's a constant participant in church plays, bible study groups and support groups. Maria volunteered at the Elementary school every day for four years. Jaime was a soccer coach for seven years straight. He has donated time to ensure that kids have a healthy and enriched youth where all kids can participate regardless of their financial status.
