Industrial and Residential Growth

By WM David "David" Wells

Candidate for Council Member; City of Carlsbad

This information is provided by the candidate
Make haste slowly re residentia Support the Industry we have.Solicit new Industry where appropriate .Make haste slowly re residential.
Industrial companys located in Carlsbad need the support and enouragement of the city. Some are profitable and some are not. Whatever can be done to help their business should be done. It should be a priority.

There are some For Lease signs on buildings that shows we have room for new companies. I m sure there are continuing efforts to bring companies to Carlsbad and I endorse more of the same. Our Chamber of Commerce is staffed with outstanding talent and that talent has and we're sure will continue their outstanding endeavors.

Residential growth comes in many forms. Single family residences, Townhouses, Time Shares, Apartments made up of those that are classified ,Affordable, for low income households. The last count I saw was 450 at 9 locations. There have been 137 Townhouses built for sale at 3 locations and 170 second dwelling units at various locations around the city.

There are 371 units under construction or pending. 233 Apartments at 3 locations. There are 138 Townhomes for sale at 4 locations. There are approximately 350 pending projects under application review.
