Board Member; San Juan Unified School District

Family Man. Married to wife Marsha for 25 years. Two children, Jonathan and Katherine, who attended District schools, graduating from El Camino High School.

District Background. Larry ran for School Board in 2000, receiving the endorsements of most every group that endorsed, including the San Juan Teachers Association, the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce, the California School Employees Association, Teamsters, Sacramento Labor Council, and the Sacramento Bee. Larry met with thousands of people, intensively studied district issues, and in general laid a foundation for this year's campaign. He has continued to be involved at his local school level, volunteering the past six years for the El Camino High School Boosters Club, including the last two years on the El Camino HS Boosters Club Board of Directors.

Youth Involvement. Soccer, softball, and baseball coach since 1989. Church youth commission. Volunteer in high school sports program.

Community Leader. Larry has been involved in numerous civic and community affairs for decades. Recently, he served as a member of the Mather AFB Advisory Commission, served three years as a member of the Finance Committee for St. Marks Methodist Church, and flew medical personnel to Baja for over ten years for the Flying Samaritans.

Education. B.A., UCLA graduated with honors, Student Body President, Chairman of the UC Student Body Presidents Council, and named Outstanding Senior, M.A., Occidental College; CORO Fellow in Public Affairs; J.D., U.C. Davis School of Law .

Experience. Small business owner; 25 years legal experience; Arbitrator -Settlement Judge Pro Tem for Sacramento County Superior Court, former VP & General Counsel of $350 million dollar company, former Assistant to UC President.
