This information is provided by the candidate

Our schools need strong leadership to keep them on the right track. Strong leadership means building partnerships, not creating conflict. Teachers, students, parents, principals, administrators, and the school board must all work together. I can help bring them together, not pull them apart.

My guiding philosophy is doing what is best for our students - "Going the Extra Miles" for them. I will promote "Basics for the 21st Century," which will build on the fundamentals - reading, writing, and arithmetic - and teach our children vital skills in the areas of technology and computers, problem solving, teamwork, and vocational training. I am a fiscal conservative who will help the district live within its means. I will encourage excellence and the teaching of basic life skills such as responsibility, respect, and self-discipline to help students prepare for their futures.

My small business ownership, community involvement, experience as the parent of two San Juan graduates, and 24 years of legal experience, including service as an arbitrator and mediator, have prepared me to be an effective member of a team that will promote cooperation, not conflict.

I would appreciate your support and vote.
