Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Michael "Mike" Hollon

Candidate for
City; City of Bakersfield; Ward 7

This information is provided by the candidate

My Thoughts:
It is important to continue the excellent representation the people of the 7th ward have experienced in the past. I have done many things in my life and can bring a diversity of viewpoints and experiences. If you elect me to City Council I will work with the other council members to make sure the right choices are made. The Bible says," Be swift to hear, slow to speak" (James 1:19). I will listen to the facts, verify the data, and then give a sound recommendation that will benefit the people.

My Actions:

My family has "adopted the wall" that runs along Pacheco from Wible to Akers, to remove the graffiti. We got together a group of home owners in June of 2003 and painted the entire wall. Since then we, along with other families, have worked to keep that wall looking clean. I would like to get other people to do the same thing to walls in their area. I feel this is a great way to show pride in our ALL-AMERICA city.
