Questions & Answers

1. How would you implement your top priority?

IH has a solid track record of academic excellence. The district is focused on differentiating instruction to address the diverse learning needs of students. This is a challenging goal for our teachers and staff as it requires a continuous process of teaching method assessment, knowing & understanding student needs, changing classroom strategies and meeting state requirements. The process is going well and will need on-going evaluation and support from the board.

2. How can the School Board work with local government and the community on use of school facilities for after school programs and recreations?

This topic represents a huge opportunity for the district. Currently, the district supports many community recreation sports programs, offers computer classes and will soon have a wellness center. The sports programs could be expanded to provide adult leagues or more open gyms for the community to have increased access to the facilities. Adult volunteers or students needing community service hours could supervise the activities to keep expenses down. It'd be win-win for all.
