I am a second generation Californian. My grandfather immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900's and my father served in the U.S. Army in Okinawa during World War II.

Wilma, my wife, and I have been married eight years and have two young children. We are active in our neighborhood, and the local adoptive family community.

I have a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a special emphasis on Public Administration and Public Policy from UC-Berkeley.

I grew up in the Santa Clara Valley and graduated from what is now Santa Clara High School. I have lived in Sunnyvale for over fourteen years.

I currently serve as a planning commissioner. I am a graduate of Leadership Sunnyvale and have served on its Board for Directors for the past four years. I am a member of the Sunnyvale Rotary Club, the Sunnyvale Historical Society, and the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce.

My work in the banking industry has spanned over 20 years providing loans and other banking services to local and regional high technology and life science companies. I have reviewed hundreds of financial statements and budgets during my lending career.

My experiences both in banking, and in a high technology manufacturing start-up, give me a working understanding of the full spectrum of business needs. More importantly, I understand the types of services that can help businesses and their employees, to be successful.
