MONROVIA SCHOOLS MUST BE IMPROVED
It only takes a quick look at the test scores from Monrovia schools to realize we must improve the academic achievement of our students. Monrovia is consistently among the lower level of schools when test score results are released. While there are many reasons and excuses for this, it must not be acceptable.
MONROVIA SCHOOLS MUST ENSURE A PLACE FOR EVERY STUDENT
As Monrovia Unified School District strives to meet state and federal mandates, such as the "No Child Left Behind" Program, and the "Comite" program for English Language Learners; we must make sure that every student has the opportunity to excel.
THE MONROVIA SCHOOL BOARD MUST PROVIDE THE LEADERSHIP THAT ENCOURAGES POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND AT EACH SCHOOL
The budget crisis alone demands that the leadership provided by the School Board must be better than ever. This is even more critical when the budget crisis is combined with the ever-increasing performance requirements of federal and state mandates (including No Child Left Behind Legislation, and Comite programs). Monrovia Schools cannot advance with weak, ineffective leadership.
