I have been married for 14 years and have two children, ages 9 and 11. I practice family law in Oceanside and am a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.

I have a BS from Jackson State University, attended the Masters Program at USC in Systems Management, and obtained my JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

I grew up primarily in Los Angeles, and came to Oceanside in 1987 - stationed at Camp Pendleton.

I was one of the first women to join the Oceanside Jaycees and served on the community Relations Commission, working many volunteer hours with other commissioners in the administration of Community Development Block Grants.

I previously served on the Board of Directors for North County Lifeline and assisted in developing plans and policies for implementation of ADA transportation services; affordable housing; employment training and counseling for families.

The North County NAACP selected me as Woman of the Year in 1993, and as the Military Award recipient in 2001. I volunteer for many community organizations and am active in the Lawyers Club and the North County Bar Association.

A life-long activist, I believe that public service is the highest form of citizenship.
